Listen, I don’t know who’s auntie and uncle are in the thumbnail image above, but they sure do look like they hear from The Ancestors in the kitchen. However, if you are like me, and The Ancestors don’t talk to you in the kitchen, I’ve prepared a few tips on what to take to Black Thanksgiving that won’t get you put out!
As we grow and mature, we begin to realize there are certain things we can and cannot control. In many instances, we have little control over the world around us. However, the one thing we can always control is our money. Right?
As I prayed, I began to jot down a list of things I’ve learned over the years, and I’d like to take the time to share them. While in many ways, I’m still figuring out life and marriage, I believe there are a few solid lessons that can help someone, somewhere. Get a glass of wine and popcorn and journey with me through these life lessons!
With the entrance of sin into the world, combined with a version of theology steeped in conservatism and white supremacy, the body of Christ lives in a state of fear of sex and sexuality, and remain in bondage for lack of a safe space to discuss these topics.
The truth is…it really doesn’t matter what we personally think about your level of spiritual development or you personal convictions. The bible is clear, “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” BUT, with the profession of faith, comes accountability. And so, Kanye, as my brother in Christ, I’m holding you accountable.
Listen, first things first! To break a soul tie, it’s IMPERATIVE that you first complete these 3 steps.

I am not saying that the church should ever water down the word of God. However, when the church (people) allow political, personal, and cultural agendas to interfere with the treatment of people, that’s problematic, especially to millennials.
When we don’t take our rest, we are out of line with God’s original design for humanity.
God created us as sexual beings, and because we don't discuss the divine origin of sex, the purpose of sex, the beauty of sex, the mutual satisfaction that should be found in sex, we leave it up to those who don't believe in God to define what sex looks like for us, and eventually we arrive at pornography as we know it today.
We should have some solid criteria in order to ensure that ALL Church Mothers, across denominational lines, and throughout all the world, have the same qualities.
If you want to scream and cry! Scream and cry! Who gone check you boo?
Mom Mom taught us that love should not just be spoken about, but should be acted upon. She lived out our Christian responsibility to Love God and Love People.
It’s OK to Fast, Pray, and go to Therapy!
